How to dry a light and fragile product without damage?
At CYAGO, we enjoy working on custom solutions. Recently, we developed a specialized drying machine for a customer who produces light and creamy French cheeses with an edible white rind. On this production line, each 25 g cheese is individually packed in a pouch and enters the dryer via two lanes, still wet from the previous process.
The challenge? Drying these light, delicate packages completely without blowing them away or causing damage.
Why traditional drying systems fall short
To efficiently blow-dry the pouches, a powerful air jet is required. The air pressure must be high enough to effectively remove water droplets. But with a weight of just a few grams, the pouches would simply be blown away. A standard dryer was therefore not an option.
Smart clamping system as the key to success
Our solution: an intelligent clamping system that secures each pouch. This allows us to blow air around the product without it shifting, tilting, or being blown away. All of this is done at the same speed as the incoming conveyor belt.
The result is a completely dry product, ready for further processing or packaging — all in an efficient, reliable way without disrupting the production process.
